Japan in the Taisho period. The kind-hearted boy Tanjirō Kamado supports his beloved family by selling coal in the nearest village. However, one day when he returns home, he finds a terrible bloodbath and realizes that a bloodthirsty demon has cruelly murdered his family! The only survivor is his sister Nezuko, who becomes an aggressive demon herself as a result of the attack. Tanjirō's life falls apart in that moment, but he vows one thing: to hunt down the demon that took his family and find a way to turn his sister back into a human. Demon Slayer made huge waves when it was released for a reason! The story by Koyoharu Gotōge offers dark sword fighting action with a historical Japanese flair, but also characters with funny or cute traits. Studio ufotable's outstanding animation does the rest to make the series one of the top titles in recent years.
