The bouldering tournament went anything but well for the four Hanamiya climbers: Nonoka and Sayo were eliminated, while Konomi and Jun were unable to repeat their performances in the final. Nevertheless, club boss Sayo is convinced that they can win the Combined Japan High School Cup in six months. Until then, Konomi should gain a lot of competition experience so that she can better withstand the pressure. At one of these events, she is challenged by climbing princess Anne Kurusu to a show duel - and loses hands down. When Anne makes fun of her afterwards, Konomi loses his temper and vows to beat her at the Cup. What was she thinking? Konomi doesn’t have a chance – or does he?
