Love is illegal in this world, anyone who defies the government faces harsh punishments. Yukari Nejima is an average teenager. Shortly before his 16th birthday, he confesses his feelings to his childhood sweetheart Misaki, who reciprocates them. But shortly afterwards he is assigned the girl Ririna as his partner. The romantic drama Love and Lies is based on the popular manga of the same name by MUSAWO and was animated by the renowned studio LIDENFILMS (The Heroic Legend of Arslan). Seiki Takuna (Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches) directed and Masaru Yokoyama (Scum's Wish) provided the music.
