Ron Kamonohashi was once hailed as a supreme genius with a 100% clearance rate. However, a fatal mistake led to him being expelled from the detective academy and he was henceforth banned from working as a detective. Many years later, police officer Totomaru Isshiki knocks on his door and asks for his help in a series of brutal murders. Only after a lot of persuasion does Ron, who has now degenerated into an unkempt loner, finally agree. Together, this unlikely investigator duo begins to solve their first mysterious case!
