Ghost in the Shell - 2.0 - Blu-ray

In 2029, many people have had parts of their bodies replaced with artificial components, becoming cyborgs in order to improve certain skills or acquire new ones. Even the brain can be partially replaced by a so-called cyberbrain. Packed in a biocapsule, the shell, each cyborg contains human brain cells with the ghost, which contains the identity and personality. All the more threatening is the appearance of an unknown hacker, called the Puppet Master, who can overcome the shell's security barriers and control the cyborgs. His victims are manipulated with false memories, lose their identity and commit crimes for the Puppet Master or his clients. The original - "Ghost in the Shell - The Movie" - was created in 1995 and, together with "Akira", has since been considered the most important pioneer for the international breakthrough of the anime genre. 13 years later, the film underwent an extensive restoration. Almost 50 scenes were redesigned and partly replaced by impressive 3D computer animations. In addition, the entire soundtrack was re-recorded and mixed. "Ghost in the Shell 2.0", for the first time on DVD and Blu-ray in Germany, is a completely new visual and auditory experience, even for those who know the original!
