When the news reports that the infamous master thief Kid has returned after eight years, high school student Kaito Kuroba vows to challenge him in front of his classmates. After all, his magic tricks certainly can't keep up with his own! Kaito puts on his father's old outfit and tries to find out this secret himself. Magic Kaito 1412 is based on the crime hit by mangaka Gosho Aoyama, who is famous for the cult series Detective Conan, among other things.
