On August 10, 2010, the Sacred Empire of Britannia crushed the Japanese forces and conquered the country in less than a month. In defeat, Japan lost its independence and became the 11th colony of the Empire of Britannia. Almost a year has passed since Zero's defeat. Japan remains under the yoke of Britannia and calm apparently reigns in the colony. Lelouch seems to have forgotten everything about his past as leader of the Rebellion and is spending peaceful days at Ashford Academy in the company of his brother Rolo. But what happened to Lelouch during his confrontation with Suzaku? This new life of lies will be shattered when the Order of the Black Knights launches an assault on the giant casino "The Tower of Babel", thus awakening Lelouch's memories, thus marking the return of Zero.
