Young Shinko's family has always lived in a small country town. Lulled by family stories since her childhood, the little girl likes to imagine the distant past of her city during the Heian period (794-1185). One day, a new classmate named Kiiko, from Tokyo, moves to town. The two girls quickly become friends and find themselves involved in a strange incident a hundred years old.
