Piano Forest - Blu-ray (German)

When Shuhei Amamiya moves from Tokyo to Moriwaki Elementary School in a small town, he is full of anticipation. But his hopes are quickly dashed when the class bullies target him and bully him because of his love of playing the piano. They challenge him to a test of courage: he has to play a mysterious piano in the middle of the forest. In the city they say that the piano cannot be played, but at night you can hear melodies from the forest. As Shuhei takes on the challenge, he meets the enigmatic Kai Ichinose. Kai comes from a poor family and seems to be the only one who can make the piano sound. The young pianists have absolutely nothing in common - apart from their enthusiasm for Mozart and Chopin... Piano Forest was nominated as “Best Animated Film of the Year” by the Japan Academy in 2008 and is known for its piano accompaniment by world-famous pianist Vladimir Ashkenazy. The film introduces young and old to classical music in a playful way.
