In exchange for the fulfillment of a wish, magical girls continue to fight the witches in secret. The young Iroha Tamaki, however, strangely cannot remember her wish. There seems to be a big gap in her life and she feels like she has lost something very important. One day she hears a rumor that magical girls can be redeemed in the city of Kamihama. When she gets there, she quickly realizes that there are much more powerful witches lurking here than anywhere else! When Iroha finds herself in a bind, she meets other magical girls who not only support her, but might also help her find out what she's lost. Puella Magi Madoka Magica revolutionized the magical girl genre with typically cute characters who, however, have to face psychological abysses in a dystopia. Fate has some exciting twists in store and so Studio SHAFT once again takes you into a brilliantly animated universe full of new and well-known, lovable magical girls.
