While Dai and Princess Leona tend to the many wounded left by Hadlar's attack on Royal Guard in the Kingdom of Charles, Chiu and Gomechan remain missing. The two have sneaked into the dead lands to find the entrance to King Vearn's fortress. To look for them, Popp and Beast King Krokodin are sent into the dangerous area and promptly meet Baran, who also has a score to settle with Vearn. Nevertheless, he cannot be convinced to go into battle with Dai's group; instead, he wants to sacrifice himself for Dai. In order to dissuade Baran from his plan, Hyunckel confronts him. But before their duel can begin, both are hit with full force by Fenbren, a member of Hadlar's royal guard...
