Naofumi, the Hero of the Shield, was made lord of Raphtalia's home village by Queen Mirellia as a reward for his actions. There he and his companions Raphtalia, Filo and Rishia prepare for the next wave when a swarm of bat monsters attacks the place. The countdown until the next wave is stopped. Summoned to the castle by the queen, the four holy heroes learn that the monsters are only harbingers of a much greater threat: the legendary ghost turtle has reawakened and is leaving many dead behind on its way through their land. It's only a matter of time before she reaches the Kingdom of Melromac. However, the three heroes Motoyasu, Ren and Itsuki do not want to be used to defend the country because the new gigantic threat was not created by a wave - and so Naofumi undertakes an almost impossible task... What is this Isekai up to? Season 2 also offers thrilling entertainment thanks to darkly shining heroes, clever characters and a captivating story!
