"Anno 1015, Northern England: Field worker Einar lives peacefully with his mother and sister in a village until one night it is attacked and burned down by a horde of Vikings. Einar has to watch his family being murdered and ends up as a slave on Ketil's farm in Denmark. There he meets Thorfinn, who is also enslaved and from whose eyes all fighting spirit and will to live have disappeared. Together they are supposed to clear and cultivate a piece of land with the prospect of being able to buy their way out of the proceeds at some point. Einar is initially in good spirits, but soon realizes that things aren't entirely safe on the farm either... The historical epic from the north is entering its second round! Dipped in warmer colors, instead of cold ruthlessness, painful depth is now convincing.  "
