Famed teenaged detective Shinichi Kudo’s been invited to Singapore! There’s a karate championship being held in the technopolis’s picturesque Marina Bay neighborhood, and Japan’s undefeated Makoto Kyogoku has entered and asked his friends to join him, including Sonoko, Ran, and Shinichi himself. But Shinichi, constantly stuck in his pint-sized Detective Conan form, can’t travel-- until he gets a surprise assist from none other than his larcenous rival, Kid the Phantom Thief!
Kid’s got ulterior motives for bringing Conan to Singapore, but a troubling and bloody mystery emerges when Makoto’s tournament sponsor turns up dead. She’d known something important about the grand prize, a coveted gemstone called the Fist of Blue Sapphire. The city-state’s most accomplished detective, the wily Leon Lowe, quickly names the prime murder suspect: Kid himself!
The Fist of Blue Sapphire is the twenty-third film in the phenomenally popular Case Closed series. Based on Gosho Aoyama’s renowned manga serial, these action-packed, big-screen adventures follow the gifted teenaged detective Shinichi Kudo, trapped in a much younger body and forced to use his wits, colorful inventions, and the power of friendship to solve mysteries as Detective Conan. This time, Conan must join his prodigious skills with Kid’s daring and Makoto’s fighting strength to clear Kid’s name and thwart the real thieves!
