Description
Galaxy Railways - A Letter From the Abandoned Planet - contains all four OVA episodes of the anime directed by Hideaki Oba, which bridge together the two seasons of the Galaxy Railways series by legendary Japanese creator Leiji Matsumoto.
Riding on rails of stardust, the Galaxy Railways ferry passengers between planets, while the Space Defense Force protect its trains from threats. When a call goes out about an ocean, a forest, and a field of flowers appearing in the middle of space, the SDF scrambles to investigate, sending Manabu Yuuki and the rest of Sirius Platoon to investigate.
Afterwards, the Galaxy Express 999 is pulled off course and onto a mysterious, forbidden planet named Herise, leaving Mr. Conductor, Tetsuro, and Maetel stranded. With no further leads on the unknown space illusions, Sirius Platoon is sent to recover the crew and passengers, but it may just be that on Herise they will find the answers that they seek!
