"I don't want it." Just like that, highschool girl Kotoko Aihara's dreams were smashed. For two years she's harbored a crush on Naoki Irie, and when she finally gives him a letter confessing her love for him, she's rejected. What chance did she really have, when she's just an average girl at the bottom of their class, and he's the perfect, handsome, athletic genius at the top?

Heartbroken, things only get worse when that same night an earthquake destroys Kotoko's home and she and her widower father must move in with a family friend. As fate would have it, however, her father's old friend turns out to be Naoki's father, and Kotoko all of a sudden finds herself living in the same house as the man of her dreams!

Though they may be living close together, they couldn't be more distant, as Naoki's disdain for "dimwitteed girls" keeps him cold to her. Yet the life of a "perfect" genius contains few surprises, and Kotoko may just have some in store for him!
