Perplexed, yet amazed, by the marvels of modern hygiene that we take for granted, Lucius returns to ancient Rome inspired to create his own spa: Thermae Romae.

Lucius's success seems to come with more troubles, but each problem brings him on another quest to modern Japan for a solution. From a humble onsen to a toilet showroom with the latest in built-in bidet technology, Lucius's adventures in the present are about to make a splash in the past!
